ANSA McAL Chemicals Limited is the only Chlor-Alkali plant in the English-speaking Caribbean and uses membrane electrolysis technology in the manufacturing process. Established in 1991, AMCL developed a reputation as a reliable supplier of Liquified Chlorine and Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda). During this time, the company incorporated a packaging line into its operation and began wide scale production of Sodium Hypochlorite (Liquid Bleach) for distribution across the Caribbean. As the business grew, so did our footprint with the commissioning of ANSA Chemicals Jamaica Ltd, a Chlorine Transfilling Hub. Over the last 10 years, we have also positioned ourselves as a responsible and reliable service solutions provider to many industries, particularly in the Water Treatment sector.

We are the largest supplier of Liquified Chlorine in CARICOM. As such, we play an integral part in the municipal water systems of many Caribbean countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St Vincent, St Kitts, etc.

We manufacture and supply Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) for a wide range of applications including steam manufacture in industrial chemical manufacturing processes, in bottle washing applications, as a sanitation product, for pH correction and as an ingredient in the soap manufacturing process.

Over time, we used our expertise in the Chlor-Alkali industry to forward integrate and become the largest producer of retail packaged bleach in the English-speaking Caribbean. The company produces over 2 million liters of bleach per month and exports to all countries in the CSME. In addition to owning four of the leading brands in the region (Clean & White, Trinchloro, Spotless and Supreme), we also do contract manufacturing for some other major brands. Additionally, we supply bulk bleach at a higher concentration to water treatment plants and other industries, for use in their CIP/Sanitation programs.

Our range of products has expanded into a wide assortment of other chemicals and related services in the water treatment industry including scale prevention (boilers, cooling towers), potable water purification, wastewater, engineering, procurement and construction solutions, line lubrication, food and beverage cleaning and sanitation.
